چکیده
Objective: This study aims to identify the key factors influencing functional outcomes in patients with surgically treated space-occupying spinal meningiomas (SM), specifically focusing on role of intraoperative neuromonitoring determining these outcomes. Methodology: retrospective analysis included a substantial number patients. We conducted comprehensive examination pre- and postoperative records, surgical reports, radiographic data assess population trends, symptom duration, histology, co-morbidities, approach, neurological function. Results: Among total 55 patients, 48 (86.7%) were women 7 (13.3%) men. Laminectomy hemi-laminectomy most commonly performed techniques. The thoracic spine was primary location for meningiomas. prevalent symptoms sensory abnormalities, gait issues, motor deficits, radiating pain. In cases resection performed. After treatment, experienced complete healing good recovery.

Neurological Outcome after Surgical Treatment of Intramedullary Spinal Cord Tumors
OBJECTIVE Recently, surgical outcomes of patients with intramedullary spinal cord tumors (IMSCT) have been improved due to advances of medicine. The purposes of our study were to evaluate the recent neurological outcomes after surgical treatment of IMSCTs. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed 69 patients who underwent surgical treatment for IMSCT in our hospital between 1998 and 2013. Patient'...
متن کاملFunction after spinal treatment, exercise and rehabilitation (FASTER): improving the functional outcome of spinal surgery
BACKGROUND The life-time incidence of low back pain is high and diagnoses of spinal stenosis and disc prolapse are increasing. Consequently, there is a steady rise in surgical interventions for these conditions. Current evidence suggests that while the success of surgery is incomplete, it is superior to conservative interventions. A recent survey indicates that there are large differences in th...
متن کاملOutcome after Surgical Treatment of Pelvic Sarcomas
BACKGROUND We present here the oncological and functional outcomes of limb salvage with or without reconstruction for primary sarcomas in the pelvic bone. METHODS Forty-four patients who underwent pelvic resection for primary sarcomas involving the pelvis were reviewed. The average follow-up period was 39 months (range, 0 to 146 months). Chondrosarcoma (n = 17) and osteosarcoma (n = 10) were ...

purpose: in this study we aimed to investigate the benefits of far-lateral approach without partial condylectomy in patients with foramen magnum meningiomas over surgical approach with condylectomy. methods: from 1980 to 2011, a total of 17 patients with foramen magnum meningiomas were treated surgically via far-lateral approach without condylectomy. the follow up period of this study was 6 to ...
متن کاملSurgical site after resection of a meningioma.
PURPOSE Our goal was to characterize MR changes over time at the site of meningioma resection in order to determine optimal timing for detecting residual and recurrent tumor. METHODS Twenty-one patients were studied with enhanced MR imaging during the first 5 postoperative days and additional studies were obtained 3 to 8 weeks after surgery (16 studies), 3 months to 1 year after surgery (17 s...
